Born and raised in the heart of Kentucky’s bourbon country, R. C. Reid is an amateur historian and espionage aficionado who always wanted to write fiction.
An uber fan of the works of John D. MacDonald, Edward S. Aarons and Daniel Silva, he always longed to see a well-written female protagonist in the action-espionage genre, and so created the Mother Russia thriller series, whose first book, Red Moscow (published by Jumpmaster Press in January 2025) takes place in 1991 during the three-day August Coup that brought about the fall of the Soviet Union.
Star Trek, Shakespeare and English history are several of his other passions, and with five friends, he is one of the producers and hosts of the Snakes and Otters podcast (available on all major platforms) with over 10,000+ downloads to date.
