Well folks, things can certainly change.

I’m pleased and delighted to announce BOTH the reissue of my first novel RED MOSCOW as well the publication of its sequel RED EAGLE!

And yes, it has been a crazy ride.

When RED MOSCOW was first published in January of 2025 I could not have been more ecstatic. The story I had longed to tell was finally birthed and into the world. The characters who had sprung from my imagination were in-many-ways now real and existing amidst the historical landscape of that summer of 1991, ready to move forward and experience the many adventures they would whisper (sometimes even scream) into my head.

And yes, they still do that.

RED EAGLE had already been written before I shopped RED MOSCOW. By the time I secured my publisher, the third book RED BELFAST was also complete, with the fourth RED DEVIL already well underway. As 2025 continued, I had begun work on my first spin-off series THE MORRIGAN STORIES, and was poised to move even faster gong forward. It was quickly evident my publisher would be unable to keep up to the pace I had envisioned.

And so, uncertain what to do next, I had a conversation one afternoon with my oldest friend, Timothy ‘Cajun’ Bischoff one afternoon on a picnic table at a roll-out event for our friend author Mick Williams‘ fourth Father Black book KILL LIST (you should definitely read this series, BTW!)

After a conversation laying out my conundrum, Cajun quickly cut to the heart of the matter: “Hell, we can do that ourselves!”

And so Southern Wilds Publishing became a reality.

Tim had created the LLC some years ago for what he hoped would be a variety of branded business ventures (and he still will) but I had the content to support a full blown publishing imprint, something we could also use to assist other authors get their works out into the world. (Our friend Mick had already done the same with his imprint Valiant Publishing.) And so, with more than a little effort bringing the right folks to the table, here we are.
